1 Introduction & Scope
This Privacy Policy describes how IBAN Scanner Pro ("the Application", "we", "us", or "our"), developed by Shahzaib, handles your information when you use our mobile application on the Android operating system.

2 Information We Process
IBAN Scanner Pro is designed as a standalone utility tool. We do not require account registration, login credentials, phone numbers, or passwords.
Camera Frames & Image Data: When you point your camera at a document or select an image to extract an IBAN, the image frames are analyzed locally in volatile RAM. No image or video stream is ever sent across the internet.
Extracted Financial Identifiers (IBANs & Bank Codes): Text recognized as an International Bank Account Number (IBAN) or national bank identifier is formatted and validated locally against ISO 13616 and ISO 7064 checksum algorithms.
User Preferences: Your customized preferences (such as preferred country code, theme mode, and auto-copy toggle) are stored in your device's private SharedPreferences.
Crash & Diagnostic Logs: Anonymous, non-identifiable technical diagnostics (e.g., app version, Android OS version, crash stack traces) may be provided through standard Google Play Console developer reports to help resolve bugs.
3 Android Device Permissions
The application requests only the minimum permissions necessary to perform its advertised functions. Each permission is requested dynamically at runtime:

4 On-Device OCR & Algorithmic Validation
Unlike cloud-based OCR services that upload your private documents to third-party servers, IBAN Scanner Pro operates strictly on-device:
Google ML Kit Text Recognition: The text recognition engine runs directly on your smartphone's hardware processor using bundled on-device models.
Mathematical ISO Checksum Validation: Validations (such as Mod-97 checksum calculations and country-specific IBAN length rules) are executed directly in local Kotlin application logic.
Offline Capable: Core scanning, validation, history browsing, and clipboard copying functions operate completely offline without an active internet connection.
5 Local Data Storage & User Deletion
Any data generated while using the application remains under your total control:
Local SQLite Room Database: When an IBAN is successfully scanned or manually saved, it is recorded in an on-device database sandboxed within the application directory.
Immediate Deletion: You can delete any individual scan record from the History screen at any time by tapping the delete icon.
Bulk Clear: You can clear the entire scan history with one tap via Settings > Data & Privacy > Clear Scan History.
App Uninstall: Uninstalling the application immediately and irreversibly deletes the local SQLite database and all cached settings through Android's operating system sandbox.
6 Third-Party Libraries & Services
The application incorporates trusted open-source and platform libraries to provide its features:
Google Play Services / Google ML Kit: Used for on-device optical character recognition. For details, refer to Google's Privacy Policy.
Android Jetpack & Room: First-party Android architecture components by Google for interface rendering and local data persistence.
7 Advertising & Monetization
To support ongoing development, IBAN Scanner Pro may display advertisements powered by Google AdMob.
Ad Network: Google AdMob may collect pseudonymous identifiers (such as the Google Advertising ID / AAID) and device information to serve ads in compliance with Google Play policies and applicable privacy laws.
Opting Out of Personalized Ads: You can reset or opt out of personalized advertising at any time through your Android device settings: Settings > Google > Ads > Delete advertising ID or Opt out of Ads Personalization.
No Financial Data Shared: IBAN numbers, banking details, and scanned document contents are never shared with advertisers or ad networks.
8 Children's Privacy (COPPA Compliance)
IBAN Scanner Pro is a financial utility application designed for adults and business professionals. It is not intended for use by children under the age of 13 (or under 16 in the European Economic Area).
We do not knowingly collect, request, or solicit any personal information from children. If we discover that a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, we will immediately delete such data.
9 Your Rights (GDPR & CCPA/CPRA)
Depending on your location, you have specific rights regarding your personal information:
Right of Access: You have the right to inspect all data stored about you (viewable directly in the app's History screen).
Right to Erasure (Right to be Forgotten): You have the right to erase all your stored data at any time via the in-app "Clear Scan History" function.
Right to Data Portability: You can export or copy your validated IBANs via clipboard or file export.
Right to Non-Discrimination: We will not discriminate against you for exercising any of your privacy rights.
10 Data Security
We prioritize data security by adhering to the principle of data minimization. Because we do not transmit or store your banking information on external servers, the threat of cloud-based breaches or server leaks is eliminated.
Local data is protected by the Android application sandbox, preventing other unauthorized apps on your device from reading IBAN Scanner Pro's internal database. We recommend keeping your Android operating system up-to-date and securing your device with a PIN, fingerprint, or password lock.
